Need For Speed
This project explores the story and cultural impact of the Mini through the design of an immersive exhibition inspired by the speed, individuality and playful spirit of the 1960s. It investigates how Mini developed from its humble origins, shaped by Alec Issigonis, into a cultural icon embedded within everyday life, popular media and British identity.

The project uses a series of narrative led installations to reinterpret familiar domestic environments such as the home and garage, expressing themes of movement, humour and nostalgia. Drawing on the work of Patrick Caulfield and Do Ho Suh, the design adopts bold forms, simplified geometries and a strong use of colour to explore the relationship between people, objects and memory. The outcome presents Mini not only as a symbol of speed, but as an enduring and familiar presence within everyday life.
